Looking forward to our 6th annual Madagascar Day at Rhinebeck’s Bulkeley Middle School on Friday, October 25th.

Dance, theatre, papermaking, writing, storytelling and art take center stage for this special day in Rhinebeck.

All BMS students, grades 6 – 8, take part in the activities and learn more about the country of Madagascar, its people, culture, food, hospitality, economy and artisan crafts. Students share their knowledge with the community through public art exhibits and visits to nursery schools and senior citizen centers.

This is a day of cooperative arts and participating organizations include ENTA, as well as SUNY Stony Brook, The Vanaver Caravan, Zara Aina, Two by Two Zoo, the Rhinebeck Science Foundation and Culture Connect- Rhinebeck.

Funding for this program has been provided by the Robert R. Chapman Fund from the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley, the Thomas Thompson Trust, the Rhinebeck Science Foundation and the Rhinebeck CSD Arts-in-Education Committee.
