Embody ART – Movement & Figure Drawing — Returns to Red Hook High School

Embody Art returns to Red Hook High School art classes on February 29. Working with nine different art classes and three art teachers, dancer/choreographer Martha Tobias will lead students through observation and movement exercises to better understand the skeletal structure, the inner workings of muscle, ligament, tendons and bones and how movement evolves into shapes, relationships and emotion that are captured in visual art. Students will develop several figure drawings during the workshops.

Working with Ms. Tobias are local artist Sarah Bissonette, as facilitator, and professional dancers Christy Kowalsky and Rowan Willigan, who will serve as figure models.  Red Hook High School Art teachers collaborating with ENTA are Maria Larson, Joe Monson and Julia Shultis
